Namaste
This Wednesday, instead of the normal candlelight class, Emily will be leading a Yoga Nidra session from 10:00 PM to 10:45 PM.
Yoga Nidra is a Sanskrit term that means "Yogic Sleep." It is a practice of guided relaxation and visualization designed to promote a truly restful state of being, while remaining conscious. It is said that the restorative benefits of doing 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra are equivalent to 6 hours of deep sleep. This practice will help you reduce anxiety and tension, restore your body's natural immunities, promote more acute focus and help you regain a more normal sleeping pattern, if your sleep has become irregular over the course of the stressful semester weeks.
Due to the nature of the class, it is absolutely important that you *arrive on time*. Please wear warm clothes, perhaps even bringing a blanket with you, as Yoga Nidra is best done at very comfortable temperatures.
Please join us in this special session, and feel free to pass this along to anyone who might be interested.
Thanks for the great classes this semester, everyone!
